About Busby Park Recruiting

We take a very honest approach to staffing. Understanding that your workplace will be where you spend the majority of your waking hours, we do all the research for you and present you with the facts regarding the clients we staff for and the positions they have to offer. We do not pressure our candidates to move forward with the interview process if they feel after their first meeting with the client that the position or the culture at the firm “just doesn’t feel right”. We want you to be happy and comfortable throughout this often unnecessarily stressful process. We want you to feel like you are the pilot of your job search – and we are your trusty co-pilots.

I bring a unique approach to recruiting and supporting the hiring needs of my clients. My combined hands-on technical and legal experience allows me to quickly recruit and place the best candidates. I recruit for all positions within law firms and corporations and specialize in mid to senior level recruitment,  including executive and attorney positions. My technical and creative background also enables me to fulfill specialized legal support positions, including eDiscovery/litigation support specialists, trial technicians, trial graphics consultants, helpdesk analysts.

Prior to recruiting, I gained extensive litigation experience, first with a national law firm, and later with a full-service trial consulting firm.  As a trial graphics consultant and PowerPoint specialist, I closely partnered with leading defense and plaintiff attorneys and participated in numerous trials from pre-trial preparation through opening and closing arguments.

I continue to share my expertise with educational presentations and training.  I have conducted presentations for the Members of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (GLA ALA), the Los Angeles Legal Secretaries Association, and the UCLA and UC Irvine Paralegal Programs.  I have also volunteered at the Downtown Women’s Center, helping women in Downtown Los Angeles’ Skid Row community with job readiness and Interviewing for Success workshops.

I hold an M.F.A. from Columbia University in the City of New York and a B.A. from the University of California at San Diego.

As a recruiter in Los Angeles, for almost fifteen years I’ve had the pleasure of uniting qualified candidates with their dream jobs. I found positions for highly specialized attorneys, accounting and finance professionals, technology experts, marketing and business development professionals as well as human resources professionals and general support staff. I take great pride in the fact that the majority of the professionals I have recruited for remain in the firms and companies where I placed them – many of them have advanced to more senior level positions.

There are two advantages I have over other recruiters that make it easier for me to be successful for my candidates and clients:

First, because I have been recruiting in Los Angeles for over a decade, I have established solid bonds with my clients. Many of them work with me exclusively or contact me regarding their new positions several weeks prior to contacting my competitors. In other words, my candidates are often first in line. Second, because I work independently with my partner, Gloria Park, I am not forced to meet unrealistic sales quotas. Sadly, many of our competitors must send their candidates’ resumes to clients for positions they are not qualified for just to “meet the numbers”. The result of this approach to recruiting is immeasurable frustration felt by both the candidate and the client. I want to keep this process as honest and as streamlined as possible. I’m a huge proponent for “headache-free” recruiting!

Prior to recruiting in Los Angeles, I recruited for a national staffing agency in New York City, then for that same agency in Washington DC. I was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama and got my BA in History from Birmingham-Southern, a liberal arts college in Birmingham, Alabama. I love animals and have volunteered at the North Century Animal Shelter near downtown LA and I’m a supervisor at the Sante D’Or Animal Shelter near Hollywood. My first “real” job out of college was working as the National Activist Coordinator for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) in Washington, DC.
